Another World Champion from Moscow has confirmed his participation in the 2013 Zagreb IWC Meeting. US hurdler David Oliver is also bringing gold to Zagreb.
Oliver won gold in the 110m hurdles in Moscow, clocking the season best time of 13.00 in the final. His compatriot Ryan Wilson won silver in 13.13 and Russia’s Sergey Shubenkov won bronze in 13.24.
David Oliver, a regular guest at the Hanžeković Memorial Zagreb Meeting, had won the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the bronze medal in the 60m hurdles at the 2010 World Indoors Championships in Doha and the gold medal at the IAAF Continental Cup in Split that same year. Oliver will have a strong field against him in pursuit of the meeting record of 12.98, set by Mark Crear in 1999. Among others, there will be former Olympic and World Champion Dayron Robles of Cuba.
So, the Boris Hanžeković Memorial Race will be a real highlight this year again!
