ZAGREB CITY CHALLENGE

ABOUT ZAGREB CITY CHALLENGE

In its 72nd edition, the Boris Hanžeković memorial brought another novelty to the program of one of the world's strongest meetings from the WA Continental Tour Gold series – top athletics on Trg ban Jelačić.

In the first edition of the Zagreb City Challenge, the people of Zagreb and their guests saw attractive competitions in pole vault, triple jump  and long jump. Tina Šutej set a new meeting record in the pole vault with 4.61, while Croatian long jumpers Filip Pravdica (8.03) and Marko Čeko (8.00) allowed the spectators to witness jumps over eight meters from close range.

Zagreb City Challenge 2025 introduced the high jumpers to the people of Zagreb. The organizers' intention to hold the high jumpers' competition near the City Fountains was spoiled by rain, so the event was held in the athletics hall at the Zagreb Fair, and Angelina Topić won.
