Rodgers, Guliyev, Cisse… Zagreb Will See Fast Running Again

The 100m races always draw special attention of the audience at the Zagreb Meeting. This year’s meeting will also include some of the world’s best sprinters.

Michael Rodgers and Ramil Guliyev, who know the track in Mladost Stadium very well, have confirmed their appearance. Rodgers is a three-time winner of the Zagreb Meeting, his personal best is 9.85 and he is an indispensable member of the USA’s 4×100 relay team, with which he won world gold in Doha last year.
Guliyev is the Zagreb meeting record holder in the 200m and reigning European and former world champion in that event.

The preliminary start list also includes Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, member of Britain’s gold 4×100 relay team from the 2017 World Championships in London, as well as Arthur Cisse and Mario Burke. All their personal bests are below 10 seconds.

Marko Čeko, Croatian champion in the 100m, 200m and the long jump, and currently the greatest sensation of Croatian athletics, will also have an opportunity to appear on the world scene against such competition.

The 70th Zagreb Meeting, which is now part of the prestigious WA Continental Tour Gold series, will take place on 15 September.
