Allyson Felix, the most decorated female track and field athlete of all time, returned to the track after having a baby.
The holder of nine Olympic and 16 world medals ran in the 400m at the US Nationals in Des Moines and she should return to the international circuit – at Hanžeković Memorial in Zagreb! Felix wants to appear at her fifth Olympic Games next year and this year’s Zagreb Meeting will be a kind of the start of her way to Tokyo.
The six-time Olympic Champion will also run in the 400m on the new track at Mladost Stadium. Testing the new tartan track beside her will also be the current world champion Phyllis Francis and vice-champion Salwa Eid Nasser. The extremely strong field also includes Russia’s Alyona Mamina and Slovenia’s Anita Horvat.
Allyson Felix ran at Zagreb in 2012 and she still holds the 200m meeting record with 22.35.
