A promotional event was held at Preradović Square in Zagreb’s centre to announce the 2013 Zagreb IAAF World Challenge – 63rd Hanžeković Memorial, which will take place at Mladost Sports Park on Tuesday, 3 September, from 6 pm on.
Anybody in the square could try the shot put and high jump, or participate in prize games and win Meeting tickets or presents from sponsors.
Teams of Organizers, Erste Bank, Podravka and Nextbike also competed in these two events and drew a lot of attention of numerous passers by, but also of the Deputy Mayor of Zagreb Vesna Kusin and Head of the City Office for Education, Culture and Sport Ivica Lovrić. An unusual record was set there: Martin Brkljačić, brother of Meeting Director Ivana Brkljačić, threw 15 metres!!! Zagreb’s pedestrian zone has never seen something like that! Those present could rightly wonder: „so how far are Sandra Perković’s discus and Tero Pitkämäki’s javelin going to sail?“
We will get the answers to these questions on Tuesday from 6 pm on.
The tickets can still be bought at the ticket booth in the Mladost Sports Park, Jarunska 5, from 4 to 8 pm daily, and on 3 September 2013 from 4 to 6 pm.
Ticket prices: VIP GRANDSTAND kn 250.-, WEST GRANDSTAND kn 80,-, SOUTH STANDS kn 30.-, EAST STANDS kn 20-.
Hurry up to get your ticket!!!
