The hammer throw competition at last year’s Boris Hanžeković Memorial was excellent, and this year will undoubtedly be even better.
Yann Chaussinand won in Zagreb last year with 81.91 meters, ahead of the Olympic bronze medalist from Paris, Mihajlo Kohan, who threw the hammer 80.36. On Saturday, at the Los Angeles meet, both confirmed that they are in great form again, as Chaussinand won with 82.44 and set a personal best, and second-place Kohan did the same with 82.38.
On the afternoon of June 26th, a number of Olympic and world medalists will be present at the Mladost Sports Park stadium in Zagreb: current Olympic vice-champion Bence Halász, Olympic winner from Tokyo Wojciech Nowicki and five-time world champion Pawel Fajdek.
