The list of world champions and Olympic winners who have confirmed their attendance at the 76th Boris Hanžeković Memorial is growing, and two-time Olympic champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo has joined them, too.
This great athlete from the Bahamas won Olympic gold medals in the 400 meters at the 2016 and 2021 Olympics. She won gold in the same event at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, and at the 2019 World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, too.
Shaunae Miller-Uibo returned to the 200 meters this season, an event in which she was the overall winner of the Diamond League in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and won bronze at the World Championships in London.
Her personal best and the Bahamian record is 21.74, and in her first 200 meters race this year, at the Diamond League meeting in Xiamen, she ran a very fast 22.04.
Miller-Uibo will run the 200 meters on June 26th at the Mladost Stadium, so it is worth remembering that the Zagreb Meeting record in this event has been held by Christine Mboma since 2021 with a time of 22.04.
