Olympic champion and world high jump record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh (UKR), reigning world 110m hurdles champion Cordell Tinch (USA), double world shot put champion Joe Kovacs (USA), 2026 world indoor shot put champion Tom Walsh (NZL), 2026 World Indoor 800m finalist Marino Bloudek (CRO), World U20 and European U20 heptathlon champion and World U20 long jump champion Roko Farkaš among a great field of athletes who will compete in Zagreb, organizers announced today.
The oldest sports event in Croatia, Boris Hanžeković Memorial, will be, for the fifth year in a row, held as a three-day event. The women’s high jump, Zagreb City Challenge, will take place at the magical Zagreb Fountains on 24 June while the same venue will host the 12th edition of the Ivan Ivančić Memorial, men’s shot put competition, on 25 June. Running and more jumping and throwing events will be welcomed at Mladost Sports Park on 26 June.
Entrances for the Zagreb City Challenge on 24 June and Ivan Ivančić Memorial on 25 June are free of charge. Tickets for the main athletics event, the Boris Hanžeković Memorial, taking place on 26 June, are available at www.ulaznice.hr.
