The 71st edition of the annual Zagreb Meeting – Boris Hanžeković Memorial, the oldest sporting event in Croatia and one of the world’s strongest athletics meetings, will take place in Zagreb’s Mladost Stadium on 14 September 2021.
Held under the title The Ivan Ivančić Memorial since 2014, the shot put event, which regularly features the world’s best shot putters, will take place by Zagreb’s Fountains a day earlier.
The Boris Hanžeković Memorial marks its 70th anniversary this year. The first duel between the clubs of Dinamo and Mladost was held on 12 and 13 May 1951. It soon turned into an international meeting, which is part of the prestigious World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series today.
